Not nearly enough 'The twilight sad' posted on this forum imho.

PS- They are signed to Fatcat. I think a lot of members will be surprised just how many great artists Fatcat has.

Six Organs Of Admittance (another great band that isn't mentioned enough imho) - Goat, Thorns And Brick (single)

I would describe them as dystopian baroque.

I.E.M. disc 1 (I.E.M.) 1996 (from the box set)
Really enjoying this, the gentler side of Steve Wilson that I like from the period when I first got into Porcupine Tree.

In his run for DG, Pletnev made some great recordings - I think his Schumann is fantastic, but this recording of Prokofiev's 2nd, 7th and 8th sonatas is also pretty good. The recording quality is outstanding, and substantially better than what Virgin offered before Pletnev signed to DG.

The man is currently in the news - but not for anything good.

A loose collective centred around the nucleus of Peter Chilvers and reclusive marimba/vibraphone virtuoso Jon Hart, A Marble Calm's debut release Surfacing is an ambitious collection combining textural instrumentals and drifting songscapes. Featuring Burning Shed regulars Tim Bowness, Sandra O'Neill and Theo Travis and clocking in at 74 minutes long, the album distinctively blends influences from Contemporary Classical (Gorecki/Pärt), ECM Jazz, Sigur Rós and the ambient songwriting of Sylvian, Eno and No-Man.
