Gordon (Voltaire) got me started on it - fantastic recording. CD is maybe slightly compressed but it's not too bad, just have to turn it down a little.

Great album - in constant rotation at Chez Voltaire.. Big Grin

@MilesSmiles: I'm curious to hear what you think about this, too. I just listened to the Sound Opinion review. One good, one so-so.

Louis & Ella....it doesn't get any btter. This version of "Moonlight In Vermount" is one of my favorite songs EVER.

The first 2562 album (his best) is mellower than most:

As with Burial's albums, it's the mix of sounds across the whole album that makes it work, from slowed-down "Moog Dub" to the syncopated dubstep beats and sub-bass heavy techno of "Enforcers" - I love that track.

Again, best heard late at night.

I've just put it on.

One of my favorite box sets. Good stuff for the soul.

I'm going to check this out. "Ariel" by 2562

Late night listening is the best kind of listening. Thanks for the recommendation.

Mavis is outstanding, great songwriting and the production by Ry Cooder is very good too. The CD is slightly compressed but it does not take too much away from the enjoyment I get from it.
Highly recommended. Smile
