Antony and the Johnsons - Antony and the Johnsons

I just adore this album. Without doubt one of the finest debut albums ever.

My favorite review said...
quote:
"Part Evel Kneivel and part Maria Callas, Antony plays out with a kind of death-defying bravery the gestures of opening himself to the world...

This album also reminds me of a lovely afternoon I spent with my good friend and fellow forum member George Fedrick Fiske.

Broke my abstinence from buying music today but the S/H vinyl at Stamford Audio's stall at Whittlebury is always full of great bargains, so first up is a mint original copy of this......

I remember buying that on release day back in 1980. Quickly became my favourite album and still is up there to this day. Two superb records.

Did you buy the Eberhards?

No sadly, as I saw a few other albums that I wanted more, which will be revealed soon, there'll always be another time though. Smile
