I'm sure I used to have this, Dummy, Blue Lines and Protection on permanent rotation back in the day. Just put it on.

Debs, would be grateful if could share with us what you think of her Goldbergs. If it's really good I'll spring for this set as the other summit in this set, the (2008) WTC, I find extremely well done.
EJ
Listening to Hewitt’s Goldberg version is imho a pleasant relaxing experience, not that it doesn’t contain technical excellence but it has welcoming beautiful flow, and it much easier [for me] to hear a refined sense of rhythm that i may simply sit back and enjoy. (In fact this tends to be my reaction to so much of the works in this wonderful set).
This may have become my favourite Goldberg version; even over my preference to the harpsichord of Isolde Ahlgrimm. Perhaps oddly, I don’t usually find Goldberg on piano particularly engaging but not so with Hewitt.
It must also be stressed that the recording is fresh and vibrant with a particularly splendid real sense of ‘Grand’ bass. I have lots of respect for the Hyperion label and quite rightly so.
EJ, if you send me a postal address to my profile email addy i can happily send you a sample cd-r of AH’s Goldberg(?)
I recommend this box-set, I think the best value place to buy from is presently Presto Classical
hope this helps : )

Great album but the versions on Hammersmith 1986 the live album are even better.

On vinyl, an old favourite from the 80's...
I've never heard anything else by this young lady so I've no idea what her subsequent albums were like, or whether she was a one hit wonder?

One of many great recommendations from my live jazz recordings thread in the new year. (Thanks to Lontano for this one.)

I agree! Like I said in an earlier post, I haven't listened to a lot of Neil Young over the years, but this album is something special.
