After a shipping delay, I finally got this on Saturday:

Sat down to listen to it yesterday, and the audio on my Arcam DVD player sh*t the bed, so now I have to wait for a repair before I can view it...grrrrr...

I haven't listened to a lot of Neil Young over the years, but this album is something special.

Down to Young or Lanois or a combo?

On CD:-

Not one of my favourite artists, but he did make some great music, except Wooden Head. Smile

Tried this earlier on Spotify, couldn't get on with her twee and breathless type voice, and gave up:

It's a combo as Young is solo with his guitars and Lanois is producing. Would be hard to exclude either and there is no one else involved.

The sound quality of this album is superb. Lanois has extracted so much of "Le Noise" from the studio. As for the track Love and War, I could listen to it all day - simple, poignant and typical emotional Young. When you play it loud, and the bass kicks in, you can really feel the air move around my MF7's, especially out the back isobarik vent.

I'm not going to pay almost £30 for a 37 minute album, on vinyl. I'll probably get the CD though.

Now on CD a classic:-
