A double CD of Thin White Rope's last performance. One of the best live albums ever.

Have made it now through the first round of my usual suspects to test the new system. Smile

I might even play some PT now.

It is a nice set. There were a few problems with this set when released and you might want to check yours out. EMI sent me replacements for the wrong bits - not sure of they are still doing this.

"Unfortunately there were a lot of mistakes during the making of the box. A wrong inner sleeve for The Wall had side 3 on both sides. Ummagumma discs were reversed and some disc and inner sleeves were missing altogether from the box"

Oliver,
Have you got more volume with the new blocks? Eek

He's gone from 24 watts to shed loads more. We will be playing some very loud Opeth tomorrow as it severely tested the last amp.

Sure do, I went from 1-10 to 20-99 on the volume control. Razz

Seriously, going from a 30W SET to 140W tube mono blocks does make a big difference. Now the Sophias almost seem too small.

Many thanks - I bought it new and it looks liked they fixed up the screw ups. We have had a few examples of poor launches recently - the Miles Davis set for example was a near miss for me, turned out ok but lots of folks had glue on the discs. Too much outsourcing no doubt. This set lacks a decent book. Coasters are no substitute. Still the remastering makes quite a difference to some of the C90 tapes I used to have of this stuff.

Agree on your Floyd gem by the way.

The whole thing of dancing, clubbing, etc leaves me cold but I love this album:

On original vinyl, plus I bought the 12" of Last Train To Trancentral when it came out too.
