I believe I saw Stu recommend Blonde on Blonde and with your comment also, I will move it up the list of purchases.

Yes I agree, as I mentioned I thought of him as a bit of a Folkie tub thumper but the surprise is the variety of styles he turns his hand to Blonde On Blonde being a good example and the quality of the arrangements, he knows what he is doing musically.

Blood On The Tracks is my all time Dylan fave album.
I love all his work upto that album.
Some good stuff over the last few years also.
But Blood on the tracks was my cut off point for a long time.
Seeing him live at Earls Court made me not buy a album of his for years.
He came on late,So drunk or so Morcheebad he could not put a tune together. Then went off after trying a couple of songs.

Sounds like we had a similar experience Stu. I saw him live once and it was terrible. Didn't listen to him for a long time after that. But the past 2 years I have been getting his earlier albums and really like them.

Will get it very soon !!! Mostly, I have everything Time Out Of Mind to current and selected Bootleg Series releases, so I am familiar with a lot of the songs on Blonde and Blood but haven't heard the originals.

Jeff if you like this album wait till you hear his new one above. IMHO it is brilliant.

I personally think the new one is the album he should have made 1st time out. I wasn't too keen on his production choices for the 1st album. I am glad he took his time with this one.

It is not out due for an official release until 2011.

Hopefully he won't play around with it.

Highly recommended for all you Nick Drake lovers.

Schoenberg's piano concerto. Still don't know whether it's good music which I will eventually get but not yet, or whether I'm wasting my time. The opening sounds like my one-year on the piano...
