This morning, before work. Can't quite put my finger on these performances. On the surface, Pletnev doesn't go for depth like for example Brendel does, instead using his technique for some of the most polished, glossy versions ever. But there definitely more, because I keep coming back. It remains one of my most often played discs. Recommended, if you give it time!

Flowers and Sea Creatures - Test Pressing EP

STORY
'What colour is your music?' we asked lead singer Graham Baxter of new Canadian alt-electronica duo, Flowers and Sea Creatures. 'Turquoise and charcoal,' he says. 'What does it sound like?' 'Like Kraftwerk collaborating with Crosby, Stills and Nash,' says the duo's new label boss, Ben Watt, with a flourish.

I agree, listening at the office this morning and "Silver Rider" made me a believer.
