Mike Oldfield 'Tubular Bells' (200 remaster - any good compared to the original?) / Orbital 'OMT004 - Television Sessions' (TV broadcasts, MTV session 1994, Later - Jools Holland 1996 & 2001)

Dean - great album, that and 'Permanent Waves' are my favourites by Rush, a real peak of creativity.

I still like the remaster for one reason, we get the full set, and the tracks work like that, the original never worked for me as an album as there was no flow.

Sometime I should take the original and the remaster into Soundforge and try and make a mix of the best sources, the tracks new to the remaster will sound compressed, but it will give the full setlist.

Try and track down an un-remastered copy of Permanent Waves on Ebay, the sound is far better, much less harsh.
(Mercury 822 548-2 M-1)

It is probably even better than 'Hemispheres', they just relax a bit (relaxed by Rush term anyway), many fans think it their best, but there is some good competition from their discography.

Great album, thanks to Fred (Simon) for piquing my interest.

I agree! It is a great album. I discovered this one on a recommendation. Wouldn't have listened to it otherwise.
