Does anyone know if the CD is available in the Japanese Vinyl Replica Sleeve Edition? It is the last one for me to track down and I can't seem to find it.

I had not heard of them until two weeks ago on a local college station. Today was the first listen and it is very good.

Doug,
Did you end up with sore feet after all the Waltzes you danced through?
Unlike his other Chopins (Valses, Preludes) the new Tharaud disc is a a collection of Mazurkas, Ballades, Fantasies and Nocturnes. The playing is masterful again and the piano sound is powerful and warm. I am sure that you will enjoy it.
Just because you got yourself a couple of new MA discs is no reason not to post here anymore.
Regards,
Haim

Time is such a scarce commodity; my demands for it seem to outstrip the availability and as such time is worth more to me than anything else at the moment. I haven't even made it through all the MA Recordings yet but can say that every one that I have listened to so far have exceeded expectations. I've spent a lot of time with the Baroque/Early Music and Bach, Weiss, and Schumann so far. The last week I've been hooked on this one:
Chopin, According to Fei-ping Hsu. (What a story behind this performer!)
Probably, a good reason for my return to Schumann and Chopin with a vengence.
This one has hardly left the player as well:
Faure Piano Quartet in c- and Chausson Piano Quartet in A+

So much beautiful and wonderful music and not enough time to spend with it.....

Doug,
I also got Yoko Kaneko's disc playing Beethoven (it is not a MA but was recorded by Todd Garfinkel) and was left cold and disappointed in her performance of the Sonatas.
