The Orb (*featuring Rickie Lee Jones) 'The Orb's Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld'
*The voice sampled on "Little Fluffy Clouds" is from an interview with Rickie Lee Jones, from a promotional CD which came with some copies of her "Flying Cowboys" album. I think she sued over its use.

Jamie - have you tried the new one? Would be interested to hear what you think as I think you like the Orb.

Adrian, did you ever get chance to listen to the Reading recording?
I haven't tried the new Orb album, it was seeing the posts here about it that I though I would dig this out.
I have never got into The Orb as much as some of their contemporaries, but I am enjoying giving this a spin after what is probably over ten years. Much more ambient than I remember, but also more melodic that I remembered.
I will listen to a few samples, or maybe some MP3s before grabbing the new album though, Very busy making the nursery at the moment, just assembled the cot, shampooed the floor, painted the walls and ceiling. Starting to feel like she is on her way though, she is good at kicking Sarah in the stomach.

Jamie, I had a listen and it was good. Think I better give it another try soon. Are you going to see him on his upcoming tour? Some good small venues. Steve Wilson is joining him in London to play Shadow of the Hierophant. I am due to go to the Brighton gig.

I didn't know about it. I would love to go, but will have to get permission. Holme Firth would be the only option, as I will be nearing bay bleeper time.
Thanks for letting me know, I had better go and do some begging.

Great picture on the left - would love to see them do a proper album together, but Hackett has been contributing to the upcoming Steve Wilson solo album.

Good luck - it is well worth doing as he does a load of good Genesis tracks (Firth of Fifth) and Nick Beggs on bass is something else.

Hackett was at the Porcupine Tree gig last week - Denis rumbled him.
