I would like to thank whoever posted this CD recently. I've not played any JJ for some time and I must say these songs from Joe's early career show his amazing songwriting talent. I will check out my vinyl collection and fill what's missing with CD's.

I still like JJ's first 15 year out put best.
Only ever seen him live once though at Hammersmith with Todd a few years back.

I don't think I've seen Joe, but I'd like to catch this current band if they play the UK.

]Hi Haim,
Hope you are well over there and its not getting to cold yet?
Have you gone through your ECM's from jpc a few months back?
If so? do you have a fave?
Stu
Stu,
The JPC order was of six discs, two ECMs if I remember correctly, and it took me no time to go through them.
We are trying to offset the cooler breezes here with warmer jazz music. Hope that you are well.

You need to buy the little Dac George and Frank F use its small and has a great headphone socket.
You can take it every where you go with your laptop and plug it into your 552 it costs around £79.00 and sounds great.
Stu
I have downloaded about 20 of my new CD's onto the Mac tonight. This was one of them, the rest I'll do tomorrow.
Do you have any more info on the DAC?
Cheers, Mark

Does anyone know which turntable this is?

Kuma,
Are you getting used to the new deck now?
Has it got better over the last couple of weeks?
munch,
It could be all in my head, but the new one seems to be getting better. Or I am getting used to the new sound.
One thing for sure, I now have to do the loading plug routine all over again. {:x
A load of insights to be had from the new deck and it's blazing fast. It sounds corny, but I can follow the tune better now. And this is via 30 year old passive Briks!

Just do a google search:
Turntable appears to be vintage RCA or Western Electric 16". Tonearm appears to be very early Gray Labs viscous damped. 5 will get you 10 that there's a GE VR II with an LP stylus on it. Early 1950's vintage typical AM or FM station fare. 6-7 years old by then. Microphone is a RCA 44DX
Regards,
Michel

Those arms alway look so over built to me. I look for swirls of swarf coming of the record.
They were probably made DJ proof?
