Mark,
What do you think??

Well Stu, I've had one listen so can only base my comments on that. There is nothing here that immediately grabs me, so I can only hope that it will grow on me in time, but I have to admit to being doubtful of that. There is such a different mixture of song styles that it is difficult to see what they are trying to achieve or what direction they are heading in. Pop songs, ballads, dance tracks - just a disjointed effort really. I hoped for more after such a long break from the studio and proclamations of this being as good as "Architecture & Morality". Dream on, this comes nowhere near that or the first two albums. That early stuff was what made them, after that they became more "poppy" and commercial. Still, I'll stick by them and give it a few more goes - and then see how it sounds "live" on 4th November.

Cheers,

Mark

Birthday present! Started off with Wotan's 'Leb wohl', magnificently sung by Thomas Stewart.

Well actually it was 5 out of the 14 tracks. I'm not a huge EJ fan and know nothing of LR, but pleasant enough for a first listen, could be a grower. Laid back piano duet with backing band , and T- Bone Burnett on desk.
Guest include Neil Young and Booker T Jones.
