I have the second album, but haven't listened that much, so I don't really have an opinion, but I recommend this clip of them performing a cover of "Reckoner" by Radiohead.

Hi Stu
Smile Just having my usual fun following leads wherever they go. Katie played in Portland last night but I didn't get to see her.

Back when, we knew a local lady promoter and her name came up in the media Friday and she was promoting a live event in Portland showcasing women in music. The names Annie Bethancourt and Katie Sawicki were mentioned and appearing at the event and I spent some time exploring yesterday and settled on the 2 recordings I have played today.

The promoter lady comes with some credentials, she has been involved in the formulation and growth of such artists as Richmond Fontaine, Caleb Klauder, Jerry Joseph and The Decemberists to name but a few.

Branches of a tree leading me to wonderful new music I would have never known of ... perhaps you will like Annie or Katie as well.

best regards
Jeff A

ps. Greg Tannen is the brother of Steve Tannen and brother-in-law of Deb Talen - Deb and Steve are The Weepies.

I have not heard the others so can't comment other than my two listens to this new one I have enjoyed very much. It will be getting regular spins for sure.

Thanks for the Everett Thomas, sounds great. Right now it is playing - 256 kbps MP3 > AyreWave player > MacBookPro > Beresford dac and sounds sublime - if this is considered low-rez my ear/brain is telling me the opposite. The music is communicating in all its glory. Days like today are blessed.
