Uniti Software version for digital ipod

Posted by: Dr_Lobo on 06 January 2011

Folks,

I have just yesterday started a thread elsewhere on getting digital iPod playback on my Uniti ... I probably should have come to this particular forum rather than the other one, but that's no matter. Anyway, I was pointed in that other thread to the very clear 19th October Paul Stephenson announcement on software versions for the Uniti.

Apparently we should all have either BC SW 10198 or we should have BC SW 10189... once you have determined which one you have, then the options for upgrade follow (factory or shop, free or £225). However ... I have just checked my Uniti and it has BC SW 10727 on it, having been upgraded by my dealer in November. And it still doesn't recognise my iPhone, even though it has renamed the front USB input to "USB/iPod". Can anyone throw any light on whether i need to send the unit back to naim for the digital iPod function and if I would need to pay for the pleasure?

Thanks in advance to you all
Adrian

Not sure if this will help or not. What version OS is your ipod? If anything less than 4.02 you should update.

4.2.1 on my iPhone rather than an iPod...

Thanks for suggestion.

I have had a reply from Naim technical services. It goes back to Naim for the digital output!!

Thanks one and all.
