HDX Missing plug-in for OSX

Posted by: Richard Adams on 02 January 2011

Hi

I've just bought a new iMac and when I try to connect to my HDX I get a blank page and a message saying, "missing plug-in". Which plug-in am I missing?

TIA

Just a guess: but you may be missing Adobe Flash plug in.

I seem to recall apples argument with adobe over flash means macs no longer ship with flash player, so just download that.

Tried Adobe Flash and still didn't work. Installed VLC and now works Smile

That makes no sense.

What are you trying to achieve?

It sounds like you are trying to access music from the hdx to play on the mac.

No. All i'm trying to do is control the HDX from the Mac by connecting via the IP address

Which browser are you using?
When I enter 10.1.0.8 (or whatever the IP-adress of the HDX is) I have it on my mac.

VLC is a music player, it might have a rudementry flash player or browser.,

Still if it works you have to be happy I suppose.
