Forum Rugby Club - 2010-11 Season

Kicking off the new season's thread with some sad news.
Leicester Tigers' Harry Ellis is to retire at 28 because of persistent left knee problems.
On the bright side, Leicester does of course have Ben Youngs (and perhaps Harry could remain involved in a mentoring role).
But it's always unfortunate when a player (wherever) has to retire (early) because of unresolvable injury problems.

Don't know about Abu Dhabi, they seem to have trouble only as far away as Glasgow...

I was going to stick knife in and twist a little but could not think of a comical manner in which to do it,but I think you nailed it
I did have a feeling that Glasgow would do for them, mind you we need Scarlets to stop Perpignan having a try fest when they meet

James, I have just noticed that because you started the forum rugby thread it will always have your picture at the head, would it not be nice and also wind someone up for the Tigers emblem to be at the fore or is that a bridge to far

Thanks for posting clarifying piccies. I now see that the club badge is a wasp lying in a pool of its own vomit.

The golden goose has laid it`s egg again and i have been given a freebie ticket for Sundays Tigers Vs Treviso game and we need to get four try`s to get a quarter final home game, it should not be a problem .
HAPPY DAYS

Squad unchanged from last Sunday's pasting of the Scarlets away, but with Castro and Dan swapping places with regard to starting and impact off the bench Tightheads. And in the cauldron of Welford Road, with the carrot of possible Pool top spot dangling in front of them. Only sorry I can't be there!
Great piccie. But - wot, no striped chair covers?

I think I might be pushing my luck with the chairs covered in Tigers livery especially as hardly a day goes by without me wearing one of my multitude of different Tigers jerseys ( I have thirteen of them )

No consolation, but much netter from Wasps.

And what planet were you watching the rugby from today, clearly a different one from the rest of us as the Tigers had a try fest [ 9 try`s that is ] and the pests got through by the skin of their teeth in the dying moments.

Castro has re-signed. Now that's GOT to be good news.
Posted on: 26 January 2011 by deadlifter
Yes excellent news, i did not doubt that he would not sign back up after all he has his business in Leicestershire and we made him what he is today its not always about the money and thats what makes Tigers a very special club

Ouch! (Even if it was largely a Development Squad XV against Exeter 1st XV.)
Posted on: 30 January 2011 by deadlifter
Ouch indeed but Cockers is never going to field a full strength team for the LV cup as he see`s it as a waste of time and a inconvenience. anyway the 19th is fast approaching
