Leicester Tigers' Harry Ellis is to retire at 28 because of persistent left knee problems.
On the bright side, Leicester does of course have Ben Youngs (and perhaps Harry could remain involved in a mentoring role).
But it's always unfortunate when a player (wherever) has to retire (early) because of unresolvable injury problems.
Well the lad will learn from his mistake and will bounce back all the better. And it seems that all the paranoia about Cockers and O`connor has come to nothing.
So Saints vs Leinster on saturday, i would prefer the Saints to beat Leinster but i have a nagging doubt that they will be overcome by the stress of the situation and the Leinster pack, any thoughts.

Fair enough.

I think Leinster will have too much for Northampton. Saints have a good pack, a big pack, especially front row, but they are not as dynamic as Leinster at the breakdown.
Leinster to win by 12 points
Tickets for the final came today. Have you got yours Mr DL?
Mark, where are your seats for the final next weekend
North Stand, Upper Tier
Blimey! What a first half for Saints!
Leinster are rattled because they are being monstered up front and they did not expect that. However, there are still 40 minutes to play and anything can happen. Watch out for the comeback!
Here we go, comeback started!
Comeback nearly complete!
Comeback complete, Leinster ahead.
Leinster to win by 12 points
I was wrong.....it was only 11.
Well i could not believe the start and i thought this is it the Saints have done it, but i should of known that Leinster would of come out with more fight in their belly`s in the second half. i think i will leave it there as this reply is incredibly difficult after twelve pints of Cuthberts
Leinster learn from Leicester Tigers, and do a massive second half comeback!
Shame!
Good Game
I enjoyed that
Even the sulky Tigers fans when decisions don't got heir way...Booo!
I am (and was yesterday) the first to say that the team that deserved to won.
Saracens' defence was absolutely rock solid, so that a lacklustre and tired-looking Tigers side couldn't make use of the few opportunities they did have. And they made too many mistakes, some schoolboy. At a level where mistakes and turnovers make the difference, you can't get away with this, and Tigers didn't.
So, well done Saracens. And I'm pleased for my Wasps friends if this brought you vicarious jollies, given that Wasps didn't stand a cat-in-hell's chance of even making the play offs!
I'm sure that from a wider perspective a new name on the cup is a good thing.
I have just got back from London and still struggling to come to terms with the DIRE performance that we put in yesterday,we did not play to our strengths and for some strange reason started kicking away possession at every opportunity. I`m starting to think that we need to groom another kicker and that means 36 should have more game time and also another scrum half to give Youngs some food for thought, and while we are at it the scrum needs some attention too.
If only we could have put the last ten minutes effort into the whole game.
Anyway WELL DONE SAFFIES [ if only you knew how much that hurt to type that]
Right a little break for the summer then we will do it all again
I have to say the way that Tigers played on Saturday, even GLOS would have beaten them.
To think that we only lost by 2 points in the semi final to the winners, but we did at least score a try against the Fez Heads in the process which the Tigers could not manage.
Perhaps that nice man Mr Cockerill, can spend the summer benefitoing from an anger management course
It would have been a better game had Glaws been our opponents in the final, but it is water under the bridge now [or so i keep telling myself ]
As for Cockers Tigers are possibly moving the position of the Dor`s and head coaches seating but if the ref`s would behave at Welford road we would not have this problem
I can only say, "tee hee hee!"
"a hee hee!"
"a hee hee hee!"
"Tee hee hee hee hee!"
"Hee!"
"Hee!"
"Hee Hee Hee!"
"Hee!"
"Hee!"
"Hee!"
"Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee hee!"
"Hee!"
You're in Italy, and you have nothing better to do...???!!!
Not at 11.25pm. I was at an Etruscan Necropolis earlier. Reminded me of the death of Leicester Tigers title hopes!
