Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

One from a hike yesterday here in BC Smile

Sweet! Where is that at Sandy?

Hi Jim

That was from Garibaldi lake near Whistler, BC.
A 9 km hike in but well worth it!

Beautiful. Love the islet behind you. Summer is shaping up well out here!

Yeah, nice photo Sandy. A few buddies and I cycled up Mt Baker today. Still LOTS of snow at the top (they only just opened the last bit road a week ago) but warm all the way up. What a stunning day. You could see for miles...

No photos unfortunately Frown

Attached is an image taken at dawn on Port Solent last Monday just before our company regatta. Perfect day to pop across to Isle of Wight as the breeze managed to pick up ~force 3-4.

A view of the fleet - we took 10 of these slightly worn yachts out to battle - no honours for my team - joint 7th!!

What a lot of incredible photos. I was talking to Munch the other day and he suggested I post a few photos of my view from my back deck. Judging from the quality of the photos everyone is posting, I think either my camera is crap, or I dont know how to use it. I must be able to get better results somehow!! Here are a few from my view of the SF Bay Area. You can pick out at least two bridges including the golden gate and the SF skyline sitting on top of the oakland skyline.

And a few more - first is of the hudson river looking across to west point and up to the catskill mountains in ny. You can see why a whole school of painters dedicated their life's work to this river. The second is of an eery sunset in barcelona and the third is again from my back deck looking onto some tremendous clouds on top of the south sf bay area

My best photo is my parents' pool in Alibag (which is to Bombay what the Hamptons are to New York):

The best thing I've ever taken a picture of (though AWFUL quality photo), a manta ray in the Maldives. This was my first diving holiday with an underwater camera, but I turned out to be not terribly talented + it really interfered with my diving (because too focused on finding that perfect pic instead of just enjoying the dive), so gave it up. But I rather like this nonetheless... such an elegant creature... seeing a manta move in the water is like watching a combination of a ballerina and stealth fighter

My spouse gets the credit for the photo taking skills. Her equipment now is better than when that was taken and she has an amazing eye for composition.

I am having trouble getting the photos to show up here, they are hosted at imageshack, marked for public, and I am using the "get forum data" info, but regardless of which data I copy(the first or alternate choice) to the image URL drop-down I get the address instead of the photo. My head is looping, I give up for now.

Sorry for the large size on the one success, we are not sure why that posted and the remainder won't. My head hurts Confused

I have been corrected by my spouse that this wasn't her shot, but by our friend David. I stand by my compliments to her, if I can figure out how to post them I will put up several examples of her work later. Sorry for the confusion, time to take meds again, dear God.
