Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Here are three photos captured last year. First Comet McNaught in Jan, 07 and then the Lunar eclipse in Aug, 07.

"Rockhopper rush-hour" by Solvin Zankl, which is specially commended in the animal behaviour category, shows a big group of rockhoppers returning from foraging at sea.

Excellent shot with the ice crystals closeup. I especially like the way the sunlight is illuminating thru' thenm. Boy modern lenses have great resolution, and the sensors for that matter.

I took this photo while on detachment at RAF Akrotiri back in about 1989. This silly sod fell asleep on the beach in Paphos after getting slaughtered!

Thankfully our medic had brought some Flammazine (I think) with him. Within the hour this guy was at work instead of facing a 'self-inflicted injury' charge.

Yummy. And yes, after 3 weeks paid holiday in the Med in June.... he went home white!
