Nice Photos.

Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Early morning close-up of water droplets on a spider's web, taken in our garden a few weeks ago.

I like it a lot, Haim. What lens did you use? Beautifully exposed.

Thanks, Winky.

I used my Nikkor DX 12-24mm with the D200. ISO setting was 100, the lens at 12mm and the exposure was 1/30s at f/11.

Haim

If you are of a certain age, you might have made an Airfix model of one of these...

Historic 'landing platform dock' vessels, HMS Fearless (L10) and HMS Intrepid (L11) decommissioned and lying in Fareham Creek, Portsmouth, awaiting their fate. (Photo 2006) Eventually scrapped at Ghent (2007) and Liverpool (2008) respectively.

This was taken last Saturday (night of the full moon) with a Leica C-Lux 2 on a 60-second exposure. A bit of a mistake, but I quite like the effect, it's kinda freaky...

Another shot from Boxing Day, Woodbridge. Sadly no pensioners fell asleep on the seat in a humorous pose.

Oi, I spent my teenage years in Woodbridge. There are SOME people there under the age of Methuselah you know. Winker

I'll have to set some time-lapse cameras up then. Navy jumpers and wicker baskets seem to be the uniform there. Roll Eyes

Geoff P took this in the frosty mist on top of one of the mountains near Ronda while we were guests of Mr and Mrs Frank F, Christmas 2008.

You should have got yourself up to the King's Head or Old Bell & Steelyard, Tony!

Not one of mine, but by an old drinking buddy now running his own photography business. Funny how Pete Doherty isn't in the news now he looks like a lad from down the road.

Does Daltry have to sit down now?

Tony

PS. The Bell and Steelyard does a fantastic pint, the King's Head used to have a great atmosphere, not been for a while. Might go soon now I've been reminded!

Glad I saw this before the ex-girlfriend did.... in the eaves of the outhouse:

Yes, it was dead, tail hanging over the doorway.

Getting a Canon Ixus 750 on Monday.

Second hand from Jessops in Worcester.

My old Canonette is expensive to run, and getting film to suit its fairly precise demands is getting harder too, so I think it will retire, and I just hope that the Ixus will prove to have as much quality as the old film [Rangefinder] camera had.

So I might be able to put a few nice photos here myself from now on!

People say if we did not have seasons we would miss them and be bored. As I am sat here with man 'flu in the cold I say - let me bored.

Lovely shot Geoff - it is nice to know it is warm somewhere.

Worcester Cathedral of course.

This is the view over the roof-tops from my room.

What is not obvious is that the rooves are powdered with today's very light fall of snow, which has mostly melted this afternoon.
