Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.
Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

I've been stuck in Antigua for the last fortnight and sadly my faithful little water-resistant Olympus Muju decided, during a snorkelling expedition, to reveal a modicum of unwaterproofedness; sea water and electronics being pretty incompatible in my experience.
After draining it & leaving it in the sun for a few hours to dry off it seemed to switch on but the LCD monitor was blank. Just before returning home I thought I'd try it one more time and, miracles of miracles, it bloody worked!

If you are of a certain age, you might have made an Airfix model of one of these...
Historic 'landing platform dock' vessels, HMS Fearless (L10) and HMS Intrepid (L11) decommissioned and lying in Fareham Creek, Portsmouth, awaiting their fate. (Photo 2006) Eventually scrapped at Ghent (2007) and Liverpool (2008) respectively.
Hi James,
Not so much an airfix model as the real thing. I was onboard HMS Intrepid in 1979 when she was the Dartmouth Training Ship and we went to the States and Carribbean, and later in 1985 I served onboard HMS Fearless as Bosun with trips to the States, Med, Baltic and the Arctic Circle.
Believe you me, the real thing is far, far better than a plastic model. Sad to think we are probably shaving with them now.

PS It looks like a couple of Type 42s in the background also awaiting disposal.

Reminds me of Hong Kong. I have a better image of the Buddha as my desktop wallpaper at work. It sure does help me keep calm.

I took these snapshots at the start of a sailing day last July - think it's the same area as your shot.

Thanks for the shots Jamie. The stetched Type 42s still look modern and as if they should still be in service.
I never thought the LPDs were that good looking a design of ship - functional yes, but not good looking.
Here is my favourite ship alongside in Key West and rigged for a coctail party: HMS Antrim.

Believe it or not, there's a lake under there. Taken a few weeks ago, now no more snow and no blue skies either

Haim,
Another great picture.
Where do you take these shots ?
Is it round the great lakes near to you?
Stu
Stuart,
I live six miles from Lake Michigan and that's where I end up with my camera when most trails & fields along the river are muddy and dull in winter and early spring.
Regards,
Haim

Email duly sent, and it is quite funny for this is the third photo of the old house that I have taken in the last forty years!
First in 1975 with an Agfa Synchro-box [c 1950], the second in the late '90s with the Canonette [c early '60s], and this latest with the Canon Ixus [c 2007?]. This last one is the best, as it happens, though the earlier ones have there good points!
