Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

One of the three Cooper Hawks residing in our backyard. Unfortunately, I don't have a more powerful glass than my 105mm f/2.8.

This is not just a tree but a very old one. Estimated age around 1300 years - one of the oldest trees in the world according some sources. It's height is 18.8 meters, diameter - 7.24 meters. It's called Baykushev's pine (Pinus heldreichii).

I love trees and this is a lovely tree. How remarkable to that it is 1300 year old!

It's very impressive at a close look. This tree has survived some terrible wood fires some centuries ago - there is a remarkable difference between its age & size the and the age & size of the surrounding trees (black pines).
