Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.

Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.

Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.

Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:

I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

Summer Cabin

Summer Cabin

Lovely photo and I'm fascinated by the architecture. A study of paradox. On one hand minimalist and rather frail construction with a timber foundation. On the other hand the relative permanence of the brick and mortar berth for the stove. Then there is the extension cord running into the door that ends to obviate the overall ruggedness. Not a place to be in the wind and rain.

Perhaps the "cook shack" of a larger complex? Bacon frying and pancakes at 6 AM?

This 'Summer Cabin' sit behind a large older house on Whidbey Island. The main purpose of the cabin appears to be sleeping outdoors on warm/hot summer nights. There is a large bed in the cabin and it is open air with screens and no windows. I imagine if one wants to get out of a hot house this would offer relieve. The other advantage would be to listen to all the early morning bird calls. The property sits at the end of road and the owners also run a nursery on the property which my wife likes to visit a few times a year. I usually always have a camera with me and just loved the look of this old structure.
