Most of us have taken one or two nice photos.
Here is my candidate as being almost quite good. In fact it is two painstakingly joined.
Taken up in the mountain at Skurdalsvatn in 2000.
Though this one takien in Warsaw in November 2006 is not bad:
I know there are several good photgraphers here, and it would be nice to see some of you best efforts if you feel inclined to share!

For the benefit of those that might interested in this part of the world.
The Glen Canyon Dam holds back Lake Powell which has a coast line that is longer than the west coast of the USA - aprox 1900 miles. The canyon has about 710 feet of water at the dam face.
Nerds will want to Google Glen Canyon or Lake Powell to be be able to get the full story.
The black valley on the Google Map shows the top of the Slot Canyon which one walks underneath to see the sights.

Great photo of Vancouver winky, I used it as wallpaper for quite a while, changed to your pic of the Macquarie Harbour lighthouse for a different look when I upgraded XP to W7. Maybe you should charge for them (not retrospectively of course!)
Don't suppose you're related to Dave Winkworth the sea kayaker by any chance?

Thanks, Bazz. No, not related to Dave. I wouldn't have thought this pic would make a good wallpaper. How did you find your icons?
Posted on: 03 November 2009 by bazz
Winky, I like a clean desktop & don't run a lot of programs, all icons live in the system tray.
Dave is an old workmate of mine from his fisheries patrol days, thought you look a bit like him.

From the balcony of my hotel in Tel Aviv, the view was a significant improvement on the room. It was also the last we saw of the sun until the day we left.
