I am also using it as a premium user and I think the update has helped things.
It is a great service.

I also dropped a new soundcard ESI Juli@) into my PC today, which again made an improvement over my motherboard sound, plugged digitally into my Supernait.
I am really shocked by the quality of Spotify, especially as a streaming service. I did some comparasions versus FLAC on my sonons and yes the FLAC sound better not not by a massive margin, mainly a reduced soundstage, but way better than MP3's at 192khz.

Is the ESI card recognised as one of the best? wonder if anything with digital out will do the job... something to ponder certainly

My motherboard had a digital out and it never sounded as good as my Sonos (I found the same with my macbook). The ESI has a good reputation home studio card and ticked all the boxes for my needs
- 2 digital outs working simultaneously
- Automatic frequency detection upto 192/24
- DTS/AC3 bypass (some studio cards do not do this)
- Low jitter digital outs
I'll admit there are some bugs with windows 7, but ESI are releasing drivers when win 7 comes out of beta. But it certainly made a difference.

No...it has proper RCA/phono connectors though. The djkits website has the best price by far too...

Well as a follow up I ended up getting a new soundcard the asus xonar D2 and it was a massive upgrade to be honest through the sennheiser cans I have. The software with it does look like it has been designed by colour blind mexicans on acid but aside from that great for the money.
A further venture has just been taken into DAC land with the Musical Fidelity VDAC to connect to Nait 2. Very positive so far but my little royd speakers are kippered (rubber seals gone) so cannot fully evaluate til later.
Gaz
