Help please.....

I just picked up my unitiserve. Its hooked up, powered on, and connected via ethernet through my airport extreme.
I also have the nserve app, which reads my unitiserve.
I want to access through the web browser option, but when I type in my unitiserve name "http://nssrvxxxx" nothing is found. It says the address does not exist.
I am a mac user, and am wondering if anyone can give me a hand. Connecting to a monitor is not really an option.

Hi Scot,
Do not use "http://" only input "nssrvxxxx" in your browser address bar.
Otherwise, try repeating Proper power down, then power up.

Still haviing issus.
When I look in finder the unitiserve is seen, but I still cannot access it via the web browser.
The ethernet connection works fine. Ripping and acquiring album info works fine; so I can only deduce that there is access to the network (that and the fact that the serve is seen by my mac)
The nserve app also works fine. this is a little frustrating.

My itunes library is also not visible. Not sure if this is due to the fact that I cannot access the unitiserve to configure things.

Maybe this is a browser security setting. Try accessing from another computer on the network.

Hi There
not sure, but think the web browser only works with PC, not Mac?

Since it's browser based, I'd assume it would work accessing via Mac.

Use the IP address from the Setup tab within your n-Stream app to type into your desktop browser.

Also check you don't have a proxy set in your web browser.

IP address worked like a charm. Followed the detailed instructions supplied with the unit to resolve my iTunes issue. Now some further reading to recover my album art....then I have a lot of ripping to do.
Thanks all, great support ,

Hi Scot
Now that you have had your nServe and nDAC together for a few weeks, I was wondering what you thought of the sound quality (in absolute terms and relative to your CDS3). I'm interested as I too have a 282/SC/250.2.
Thanks

Cal,
I have been incredibly busy since the pair arrived; and haven't had a chance to really sit down to seriously evaluate.
With casual listening, it definitely has a different sound. I would say more like a cdx2 (which I had a couple of years ago.) This is definitely not a bad thing. I still think the whole set-up needs a bit more time. I am also having a dedicated stand made for the nserve as well; and have yet to try the xps with the nDac.
But I am very impressed so far. I have a few hires recording which sound great (closer to the cds3...but not quite there).
I will post more soon.
