I think Maynard is working on a new A Perfect Circle album first with Billy Howderel, that is worth looking forward to, but yes, the next Tool album will be eagerly anticipated.
They are getting about as prolific as Kraftwerk, but then their albums are in the same league as Kraftwerk, so I will settle for quality over quantity.
I wonder if Orbital will record any new material this year?

Steven Wilson has indicated that Blackfield III will surface at some time. Aviv Geffen (Blackfield) should release his solo album soon. Also Tim Bowness has threatened to release a Henry Fool double album. And don't forget to look forward to the no-man DVD in August and the Porcupine Tree (double?) in September. All releases should be

A new APC album would be good, especially if they would pop over to do a promotional tour.
As for Kraftwerk and Orbital, I would have got tickets for both but I am away! Not happy. Guess we will meet up at the PT gig in October? We'll sort something out like last time where we all go for a meal beforehand.

The Ideal Condition by Phil Hartnoll.
quote:Paul Hartnoll was for fifteen years half of the cult Brit electronica duo Orbital, in which he performed with his brother Phil. Three years after their split, he presents this debut solo album, in which he expands on the core Orbital soundof airy, arpeggiated ambient techno. Grandiose orchestral elements vie with harder, club-bound vocal tracks, including the single 'Please' which features the lachrymose vocals of The Cure's Robert Smith.

I'm hearing great things about this...
I will be dissapointed if they just try to repeat their early formula...
