Looks interesting. My old boss at work (in the US) used to play piano as a hobby. His sister was good friends with Miles Davis and used to manage his art collection and he was friends with Mark Egan. My boss made a couple of CD's himself and Mark played bass for him. They were never commercially released but were of a good standard.

Just listened to the track "Rocket" from Goldfrapp's new album. I do hope the rest of the album is better because this track sounded like a bad rip off of Van Halen's "Jump" crossed with a Eurovision Contest entry.

They are on the J Ross show Friday after next.
I like the single.
I love the last album also.
Thats just me though.Big fan of the people playing on it.

Hi Stu,

I did want to like the last album, but it was not for me. I have big hopes that the band may be returning to more synth based stuff with the new album, but as I say above, the synth riffs on track "Rocket" remind me too much of "Jump".

The new album is more back to synth dance bassssed than the last one.
Do you have a tt now?
If you do buy the vinyl the cd comes with it.

Great anecdote. Any idea whether I can get my hands on those unreleased Mark Egan albums. I'm sure it will be great to listen to. Anything with Egan on it is worth a listen.

At a stretch and in a hurry I would say isobell campbell or indigo girls.

aussie brother and sister second album of dreamy folk...
