The new multiple CD set of the Jimi Hendrix Winterland concerts.  It is a legitimate release so the sonics should be amazing.

That will be an all new Kate Bush record then?

Aerial remains a real favourite so here's hoping this matches up!

Bruce,

The album will be the second release from Kate's own label Fish People and comprises all new material that was recorded during the same period that Kate worked on her album “Director’s Cut”.

“50 Words For Snow” will feature seven brand new tracks set against a background of falling snow. The total running time is 65 minutes.

Wondering about the new Quadrophenia box set due out later this year as well.  It's another remaster, including some quadraphonic mixes.

Quad (re)mixes seem all the rage these days. I suppose that one needs a 5.1 system to listen to them.  I only have 2 channels . . .

If this is even half as good as Yann's last album (Dust Lane) then I firmly anticipate it will be my top album of 2011. The single ('Monuments") is a beautiful song.

On sale today. First solo album from Candice Night the voice of Blackmore's Night.

Interesting translation of a Swedish review on her website.

I'm listening on Spotify.

She has an interesting voice and if you are a fan of B'sN I'm sure this will enjoyed too.

It is on my list to buy, thanks. Can I also suggest another 'even if you don't like folk music...' King Creosote/John Hopkin: Diamond Mine.

So far in my top three albums of the year

The new Jarrett improvisational concert in Rio out very shortly. He feels that this concert is an affirmation of his entire career and is partly due to his new found happiness with his Japanese fiance Akiko.
