I am sure this thread has been started before but...What new releases are you looking forward too?

I'll start the ball rolling...

I am looking forward  to Jake Bugg's debut album. Very talented 18 year old with a very refreshing and unique style about him, it's  released tomorrow.

Do a you tube search and  have a listen.

There is a video up on the following site http://www.bishbosch.com/

This is a taster of what the album is like. Personally it is not for me as it reminds of of Lou Reeds Metal Machine Music with words..

Paul Buchanan just advised that both Blue Nile reissues, Hats and A Walk Across the Rooftops, will be available on vinyl in December!

Ewemon, "Metal Machine Music with words" - you say that like it's a bad thing.

From the clip, I can't wait until this comes out...

I have always hated Metal Machine Music IMHO I think it is one of the worst albums ever made. I still remember ripping open the box of vinyl when it arrived in from RCA to listen to it as he was one of my favourite artists at the time and putting the needle down on the first track.

I think I was less than 10 minutes into it before I had numerous requests from shop staff and the buying public to get "that crap off".

If memory serves me well I think it was one of the fastest albums to ever hit the cut out bins. In our shops case possibly less than 2 weeks. We couldn't give it away at the time.

In fact Lou Reed once said that "anyone who gets to side 4 of the album is dumber than I am. Though I did get to side 4 and I got paid for it". Think that says it all.

Though there are people who like it and fair dues to them but this new Scott Walker doesn't do it for me. I have always loved his voice.

Looking forward to these 3 at the beginning of 2013, as an 80's boy it will be interesting to see what Adam Ant can produce but I'm quite excited by the new Nick Cave album as from what I can gather it will be more of a laid back Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds which I always prefer.

The long awaited follow up to Queen of Denmark's due for release in March.

Thanks for the Yo La Tengo headsup-always going to be on my shopping list.

I'd love a Nick Cave album in the mood of Boatmans Call, here's hoping.

There's also a new album from Phosphorescent in March.

+1 on Yo La Tango. Have you heard any other recent Matador vinyl? I'm skeptical, but very willing to be happily surprised.
