Pieter-Jan Belder (b.1966)  harpsichord: Schoonhoven made by Cornelis A. Bam, 1995 (after Mietke 1710)

[DDD] Arts Music Recording, Rotterdam, 13-15 March 1996
Location: Doopgezinde Gemeenta, Zwolle.

Erasmuz Muziek Producties 2 x CD box-set (p) 1997  ~<>~

A gentle and calm version of WTC book 1
Carefully played out which may only appear to seem deliberately slow but nonetheless pleasantly engaging.
Very good recording too.

Debs, it's been a long time since I saw an Erasmus recording. I grew up on the label. They sold good budget recordings of main- and less mainstream classical music, in a time when most budget labels used ghost orchestras in terrible performances. With the growth of Naxos and the major publishers adopting their own budget lines, the label ceased to exist.

Ref: your Beck - Mellow Gold

Is it vinyl?  ...and if so are they affordable to purchase anywhere?

Is it CD?    ...and if so has it been louded?

It's just that i recently ordered a pre-owned CD of Mellow Gold, an original 1993 issue type copy which is only a few quid but i don't know what it's like yet.

The Erasmus discs i have are in near mint condition and play lovely, only cost me £2.51 : )

The discs are also marked 'STEMRA' ...is that a place or a CD factory?

Debs,

Stemra is the Dutch artists' representative body that collects the licenses from music sold or played over the radio.
