Similar in execution to 'Metal', the only difference being the choice of material. Its all smooth jazz / R&B.

Ironic title for an album that is being played in this part of the world because it rains all the time here!

On a Naim system, this is just like having Callier in your living room.

The fretless six string bass virtuoso in a 'playful' mood.

This sounded strange because it arrived late via Amazon. I was listening to the remix album for a long time prior to the standard album's arrival.

It is more usual to listen to the album first before proceeding to the remix. But the remix is also very very good! Highly recommended.

On vinyl. More Boz Scaggs.

On vinyl. The much maligned follow up to Silk Degrees. Still enjoyable after all these years.

On vinyl. Continuing with the 80s theme.

David:
Very very good. The guys at Naim have an uncanny knack of discovering such wonderful talents. Not yet come across a jazz album on the Naim catalogue that I did not like.

Home for the week-end, and some de-stress musik to start with : )

As the gale force wind whistles and thumps things around outside...
i relax to the delicate fingerwork on the Steinway.

This is by far the best D.960 version i heard to date

Released in 2009.
From AMG:
The first album released posthumously after jazz legend Freddie Hubbard's passing in 2008, the recordings that make up Without a Song: Live in Europe 1969 actually sat in the Blue Note archives for 40 years.

I agree, of course, but happily admit that with Stephen Kovacevich I no longer even pretend to be objective.
