Another EP, and still probably their finest track to date, Maybes...

... and also a stream of an hour long live set here.
"... this spellbindingly atmospheric live set from Hotflush Recordings duo Mount Kimbie, recorded straight from the sound desk at Primavera Club in Barcelona last October, which has a suitably soothing effect as the hour long performance unfolds."
For anyone who hasn't heard it, their album from last year is top notch.

[QUOTE} Jeremy B - re: Freddie Hubbard "Sweet Return"
Jeff, great choice one of my favorite albums of all time for the reasons you mentioned, plus Eddie Gomez on bass and top notch recording. I have nearly all Joanne Brackeen's own albums on vinyl, must be 6 or 7, I never saw any on CD. [QUOTE}
Hi Jeremy
I love that album also, especially Brackeen's composition "Heidi-B". Back in the vinyl days (for me) I had one other of her records but I don't recall which one and have not found much of hers available for download. I also am a fan of Eddie Gomez and love his work with Bill Evans and Warren Bernhardt. The download of "Sweet Return" is a recent addition and I am so pleased to be able to have this music again. I downloaded another of Freddie's albums recently, "Ride Like The Wind" and am enjoying having that again as well.

ps Amazon has five Brackeen titles available as mp3, care to offer me a recommend on what to chose as a first download of hers ? Six Ate, Tring a Ling, New True Illusion, Aft, and Invitation.
Thanks.

Jeff,
This is a bit surprising but none of those would be in my top two, but that may be because I am not familiar with those earlier albums. First for me has to be Keyed In with Gomez on bass and DeJohnette on drums (seriously). It's like you're invited to a tiny exclusive club with these greats of Jazz playing together. Next would be Fi-Fi Goes to Heaven. The good news is that it appears Amazon are working through her catalogue from the beginning so maybe the others will arrive later.
Shame you can't still play vinyl - I actually get the dupes of these records whenever I see them they are rare but inexpensive. I'd be happy to send you my second copy of Keyed In if you could play it.

And this is wonderful as well. I'm new to classical music making a few purchases over the last 5-6 months. I'm really enjoying Dvorak. Not sure I can quite describe why yet. Something to do with gorgeous lilting strings & stunningly soulful melodies (sorry if I've used the wrong phrases)
Cheers

Thank you for the kind thought but please offer it to someone who can use it. I will do some more searching this weekend for the titles you have recommended - I am positive I would love a trio recording with Brackeen, Gomez and DeJohnette.
