I'd suggest you change it then 'cos your posts make life even more difficult.

More joys of hoopla, I'm guessing.

Hi Jan-Erik
His original disc was given to me as a gift, what, 8 years ago. At first I didn't like his voice, I persevered and now I own them all. Great lyricist.

Hi Jeff,One of our local artists Edgar Bori, reminds me in many ways of Ray. Also a recluse, Edgar is above all a poet with a superbly cynical view of our modern world. His music is extraordinarily creative and as engaging as his poetry, with top-notch recording and production. He sings in French, but even if you don't get the lyrics, the music makes it all clear.
A good place to start is 'Les incontournables'. As he puts it :
Un album à entendre et à écouter en seul à seul avec la route.
L’homme éléphant paru à l’ombre des réacteurs nucléaires
An album to hear and listen to alone at one with the road
The elephant man appearing in the shadow of the nuclear reactors

Personally I am loving it. It has what they term as a Country Soul sound, pretty laid back for them. I would start with Southern Rock Opera, Decoration Day and A Blessing and a Curse but they are a great band and most of their discs are good.
If you like them try JJ Grey and Mofro. He has a great swamp rock sound.

Alexandre Tharaud's brilliant take on Scarlatti may surprise his followers: he's not the first pianist to exploit the possibilities offered by a modern grand in this music, but I've not often heard Scarlatti played with such forceful projection and dynamic range. The close recording helps - Virgin is giving him a different sound than HM did (or is it another instrument), but the result is high class.
