B12 - Last Days Of Silence - mastered "hot" which is a shame.

How does this album stand up against John's solo album?

First listen for me and I'll be buying it. Subject matter is similar and a great album in its own right. IMO the material on 'Queen of Denmark' is stronger, but who knows after a few more listens. I also like 'Sorry I Made You Cry', an album of covers, which JG easily makes his own.

Heard selections of this disc at the store and was very impressed - the first really good Mozart quartets since the Alban Berg played them? Many of the current quartet formations play brilliantly but seem to miss the emotional core of these works...

Thanks again to Denis, whilst looking up some RT tracks spotted this, until 1/3/11.
On NPR  media player :-

This is the "standard" CD cover, the De Luxe on has 8 different randomly issued covers, a dream for completists. LP/CD package has another cover.
