Art Pepper led quartet recorded live in 1980 at Ronnie Scott's. One of two LP's taken from their live sets and on the long defunct Mole Jazz label. I recommend them both, not only for the excellent playing, but the recording is pretty darn good as well.

So it's straight onto -

Karl

PS A CD compilation was issued, but this and the LP's have not been available for a long time

How is this? I bought their new one on the strength of it being Classic Prog magazine album of the year.

Lontano

IMHO this is a good prog album. I have not yet heard the new album.

Yes! I'm not afraid to say so either. Did you really think that it was because she plays some instrument like a piano and was extremely talented? Winker

I had this one lined up next but since Haim pointed out how vain and shallow I really am I had to change the program from

to this:

Oops, on second thought should I reconsider? I thought this was a nice, safe, non-descript architectural street scene but I just noticed some good looking 'women' in the street. Wow, the album suddenly just got better. Roll Eyes

Actually, forget it. I'm listening to both no matter what. Nice sunny music with a somewhat rare Minor Key Trio from ol' Haydn (e minor) amongst the more common Major Keys of C, E flat, E, G.
