Hi EJ

I always enjoy your listening posts and  you sharing your knowledge.  Seeing as you rate this so highly, I am downloading it and will listen to it later in the evening or tomorrow morning when I tend to start with classical and jazz.  Thanks for the recommend.

Ewemon,

These are impressionist string quartets by Debussy, Dutilleux and Fauré.
This quartet consists of high talented musicians who choose to perform together on occasion in order to get to play the great music for string quartet. They share the 'modern french' sound - silvery, light and with a hint of emotion - which makes them ideal in this music.

Cheers,

EJ

Sorry Ewen, the original post is back a couple pages with a full size cover, but probably pretty hard for you to navigate to with the current forum.

It is Arcanto Quartett performing string quartets by Debussy, Dutilleux and Faure.
