Jeff,

I had this disc playing in the car for three days in a row. Didn't feel like exchanging it with anything else.

Hi Haim

It was a previous post of yours referencing the Gaspard, in particular, that prompted me to buy the recording.  I enjoy it, and the Scarlatti disc of his I have, as well.  Good stuff.

We're a long way removed from I Musici performing the four seasons... this is the strangest four seasons on disc, no doubt influenced by the dance act which this performance was part of. It works because this music is so well known, but I imagine someone coming to this performance without prior knowledge wouldn't have a clue what the music is about. The Rebel (a contemporary of Vivaldi's) is also imaginatively performed.

Cheers,

EJ
