PS: I usually have the display of my 555 set on time and not on track. With this two track recording the time setting just counts down the time of track 1 (A side of the original LP) and then of track 2 (B side of the original LP). By chance I had my display setting today on track and was very surprised to see that the 555 is able to read the old micro flags of these early CDs and displays tracks as e.g. 2.01 or 2.02.   Kudos.

miles, these observations are a little worrying

This is an album of Frank Sinatra songs, covered in an extreme metal style by the likes of Devin Townsend, Dee Snider, Ripper Owens and other American alumni of the headbanging fraternity.

And, frankly, it is abysmal. What must have seemed like a great idea down the pub has turned into an unlistenable mess.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm a metal fan through and through but this is just an appalling waste of electricity. How such an array of talent can produce such a pile of excrement is beyond me.

And before anyone says anything, I've got to listen to this as I have to write a review of it...

steve (gradually losing the will to live and looking forward to silence.)
