Haim, to my ears, I really found this album to be enjoyable.  Very subtle playing and music but it seems to have the right approach or spirit, at least in my view.  As seems to be standard as well is a nice CD package with interesting photos of the organ and good program notes.  As I said to you previously, I've only had the opportunity to sample maybe a half dozen Alpha CD's so far but I'm really becoming a hardcore fan of them.

Cheers,

Doug

This arrived tonight and I think EJ had something to do with recommending it

First listen, with only half an ear.  The recording sounds wonderful and so does the playing although he is very strict with his tempo.

First seen on 'Later' a couple of weeks ago, the music of VT doesn't in any way disappoint   Uplifting, refreshing and energising (or at least I think so).

Production not the very best, but by the same token also far far from the worst!

Snap! Doug, of all my postings I didn't expect you to choose this one, the 'odd one out' in SK's discography so to speak. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do, and don't forget to read the liner notes!

Cheers,

EJ

Hmmm, the Paganini capricci...good for the Thursday morning! My only recording is the old Mintz, recorded with one mike hidden inside the violin and the other between the strings.

This really is rather good.

According to The Telegraph.....

With Mirrorwriting Woon proves to be a genuinely exciting British soul star in the making. His next challenge will be to adapt his uncanny musical presence for stages vastly larger than his One Taste origins.

Cheers
