Going down well with a bottle of Merlot : )

That was a productive thread you started, Debbie. I went for Doug's recommendation of Anna Vinnitskaya and really enjoy this recording.

Hey Denis, Thanks for that, they must have got back together then. You should check out their debut album, it's excellent...
I've posted it here a couple of times, as has whizzkid, I seem to remember. It includes the track in your first link (their most well-known song) and a few other tracks of the same kind of thing. Quite a slow and sexy record (for me, anyhow!)
From the same album, I've always liked this dnb-lite choon, a hidden track on my cd, and a remix of one of the earlier songs. Unlike similar stuff from back then (those two EBTG albums, Kosheen) it's aged pretty well:
And another thing... singer Lou Rhodes has released at least a couple of well-received solo albums - her first was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Probably a bit too folky-hippy for me, but I can think of at least one poster here who's got at least a couple of those...

(My album cover seems to have disappeared, so edited to fix the broken link, 16.5.11)

Thanks for the tips, it's always good to find someone new, especially if you missed them first time around. Here is a mini-documentary about the making of the new album 5 http://lambofficial.com/five

Debs,
Wine goggles or not, it is the morning after and we want to know your thoughts about Yundi Li / Leinsdorf etc.. I'm still waiting for my copy of the Leinsdorf.
