Wow, Lloydy!, What a fantastic album you have there!

Companion is perhaps my fave PB album at present.

Not only does she do incredible jazzed up cover songs...

but imo her version of Black Magic Woman is far better than the Satana,  ...easy,  ...no contest!

and I think if any rockers out there want to give jazz a try, her albums are a great place to start.

...and The Beat Goes On

L A Getaway

just took a punt on a copy of this from my favourite second hand record shop. It is absolutely wonderful and should be re released as soon as possible. Little on the web about it apart from one very positive review hailing it as from a the 'best unknown LA supergroup'

Core group of Joel Scott Hill on vocals and guitars, Chris Ethridge on bass and Johnny Barbata on drums. You might see why I took a punt on this! But no other details really. Does anyone else know more about this?

Excellent choice Chief!  Along with the James Blake LP, some of the weirdest dubstep-related music out there.  If you have iTunes, subscribe to the Boilerroom podcast, they have a live set from Mount Kimbie, and the other podcasts are great too - lots of Jamie xx!
