Marcin Wasilewski Trio

Marcin Wasilewski Trio latest Faithful.  A slow burner, but a very pleasant listen.  The reviews I read suggested it was quite different from their previous two discs, but it seems pretty similar to me.  January still remains my favourite, but this is a grower.

Heads Up © 2011 Limited Edition 2 x 180g LP

My first proper listen to this album, she has a nice fresh voice, whimsical, wispy at times, flighty, tuneful, and endearing. There is (imo) a 1960's style in her young voice which i like very much, good band musicianship all round too which isn't afraid to search out for interesting sounds.

Just not keen on the 'behind the scenes' chat on LP side D is all… (i’d rather listen to more of her music).

My much loved  Heavy Weight Classic Records Quiex SV-P Super Vinyl Pressing.

That my dealer bought for me on one of his trips to the  AMOEBA record aircraft hanger size store in San Francisco a couple of years ago.

Love it.

.......and now

Bought in a local charity shop for a quid on CD

It's my first WS album, I bought as a taste.

It seems to be full of lots of ideas but a bit short on 'finished' tunes. His voice is beginning to get a little wearing too.
