I am never sure exactly what causes one to latch on to some particular music for a while at particular times in one's life and not be able to let it go.  Perhaps it is a sign of a musical anemia; I am missing something that I desperately need and finding this sustains me with precisely what I need.  This is so for me now with the Brahms Op. 76 Klavierstücke; especially the Capriccio in f-sharp minor (Op. 76, no. 1).  In the car, I have listened to this piece at least 6 times a day for the past 3 weeks and the set at least once per day.  I do not think this will not stop now until I learn this piece and discover what is really in the depths.  Nevertheless, this is a fine recording.  I really like what Angelich does with Brahms.  Very reflective and understated.

It's not often that I find a piece of music like this that absolutely transfixes, can't get it out of the player.

Piano & violin/cello mostly.

Beautifully written/scored, exceptionally well recorded and played so well. Some of it has been used for tv - and is very similar to a score for a highly successful  series on there as well.

Appears to be available on vinyl as well for those so afflicted ;-)
