And closing the day with René Pape's first recital about gods, kings and demons although the gods are clearly underrepresented with only a single excerpt from Wotan's big scene in Das Rheingold. The disc ends with Boris Godunov's death scene, and that scene alone would be worth the price of admission for Pape's sensitive, understated, portrayal.
