EJ,

I just saw the Emersons perform a couple of weeks ago Quartets of Haydn, Bartok and Schubert. It was a pleasure to see a group play with such deep emotions as well as technical skills.

Haim

Haim,

They've been really successful on recordings, I hope I get the chance one day to hear them live. Have you heard their recording of the Sibelius and Grieg quartets?

Cheers,

EJ

EJ,

Aside of their live performance, I only heard them play Bach's The Art of Fugue and the Quartets of Debussy and Ravel. I am planning on getting their Schumann disc which you have posted and their Brahms/Mozart Clarinet Quintets.

Regards,

Haim

Haim, I am patiently waiting for Shostakovich’s two piano trios (No.1 Op 8 and No.2 Op 67) recording, from The Florestan Trio, that I recently ordered.  Probably old news but what I didn't realize, until a couple of days ago, is that this will be the last recording of the The Florestan Trio after 16 years together .
