EJ,

There is definitely an extra (POGO) relish here and I really do enjoy it. What I will have to do over the weekend is have a minor Haydn tournament with Sudbin, Hamelin, Schirmer and Pogorelich at the piano to check their flavors a little more closely.

Probably one of the most realistic piano recordings ever made, released in 1993 on a CD format. Available today also as a tape (to be used on a reel-to-reel 15ips deck) at $500 for an even better sound.

A lovely duo with Joel Xavier's acoustic jazz guitar and the phat double bass sound of Ron Carter.

Nice choice Irwan. I just played it. Nice, simple and beautiful.

Glad you liked it. I was looking for Ron Carter albums when I stumbled across Joel Xavier.

In keeping with the Latin theme, this is what I played last night:

Not as good as her last album, but still very nice for late night listening.

During lunch today, at the office, through a couple of Philips active speakers connected to my new HP PC:

Still waiting for the 'Insugentes' album to arrive from Amazon. It has been delayed in transit. First time that I am listening to the remix album before hearing the original album.

So relaxing. I love the long Friday lunch breaks. Smile

Currently playing No Man:

The repeat button has been on 'Wherever There is Light' for the last few minutes. Steve Wilson is a genius.

Good Morning,

Are you able to put John MaCabe into the mix?

Enjoy the Haydn.

I bought my vinyl copy of this album over 25 years ago mainly for the cover but have come to really enjoy the recording, so much so that I also have a CD copy as well (which I'm listening to). Contains Getz’s impressive 4+ minute solo on S-H-I-N-E.

Has been re-issued on heavyweight vinyl by Wax Time.
