It looks like a copy to me.

The originals are silver with the black markings in/on the disc.

No orange background.

Hello Stu,

The cd I have is definitely not a cd-r. I have seen some with the orange background and others the way you have described.

More info of my copy, which bears the No. (490.391 wish 1) on the inner circle can be found here.

I would love to know why the letters are upside down?

It makes them bloody hard to read.

The Chung Trio have become more famous as soloists: Myung-whun Chung focusing on his conducting career and Myung-wha and Kyung-wha on the cello and violin, respectively. They made two discs of Beethoven trios for EMI in the early nineties, which are well worth checking out.
