Nice, there are now so many vinyl titles on MoFi, AF and others that don't get a CD/SACD release - frustrating, mainly the Kate Bush titles I would have liked to see on CD/SACD.

Horowitz: The Last Romantic

Compared to his earlier work, not as rambunctious or precise and maybe more sentimental. It has a calming theraputic appeal.

It's a pretty good recording for digital tho.

His play is frighteningly fast at times but wish he wouldn’t be so heavy handed on the keys!

I feel sorry for those rather beautiful old instruments.

The libretto accompanying this LP provides quite a lot of fascinating information, plus photos and diagrams of many original cembalo.
